Why the after photo matters more than the before
Anything looks better wet. That is the trick behind a lot of the before and after photographs you will see for this trade: the before shot is dry and the after shot is soaking, and half the difference is water rather than cleaning. When you are comparing quotes, ask to see a finished surface photographed dry, a day or two later. That is the one that tells you whether the moss was treated or just washed off.
It is also worth asking what the surface looked like a season later. A driveway that was blasted clean and left untreated will have green growth back in it within months in this climate. A driveway that was cleaned, re-sanded and treated will still look like the after photo the following year.
