Cardiff, in detail
Most of our week is spent inside Cardiff itself. We work regularly in Roath, Penylan, Cyncoed, Lisvane, Llanishen, Whitchurch, Rhiwbina, Radyr, Llandaff, Canton, Pontcanna, Grangetown, Splott, Rumney, Llanrumney, Cathays and everywhere in between, from Victorian bay fronted terraces with tiled paths and painted render to 1930s semis with pebbledash and concrete drives, and newer estates with block paving and composite decking.
Cardiff has a particular problem with green growth. It is wet, it is mild, and a lot of the housing stock faces north or sits behind mature trees, which keeps surfaces damp long enough for algae, moss and lichen to take hold properly. That is why treating a surface matters more here than simply washing it.
Outside Cardiff
We cover the Vale of Glamorgan including Penarth, Llandough, Dinas Powys, Sully, Barry, Wenvoe, Rhoose, Cowbridge and Llantwit Major. North and west of the city we work in Pentyrch, Creigiau, Beddau, Talbot Green, Llantrisant, Pontyclun and Pontypridd, and up into Caerphilly, Risca, Blackwood and Merthyr Tydfil. East we cover Newport, Cwmbran and Pontypool, and west along the coast through Bridgend, Maesteg and Porthcawl and on towards Port Talbot, Neath and Swansea.
The map above is the honest version of that: distance rings from our Cardiff yard, with every filled marker showing a place we cover. Ringed markers have a dedicated local guide; the remaining markers are still fully inside our working area. The further west you go the more it is worth asking first, because a job in Swansea has to be worth the drive for both of us. If you are just outside these places, ask anyway.
